We made it!

Shortly after arriving at my parents house, some more of my favorite people showed up. It was a great day! 

First Stop GG

My Grandma, who is affectionately called GG by her great grandchildren is conveniently on my way to Michigan. I stopped for a days rest and to visit with my Tennessee family. When we arrived in Knoxville, Miles smiled from ear to ear and reached right out for Grandma. It did her heart good, as well as mine. Piper spent quality time with her GG, playing go fish and memory, reading stories together and what would would my Grandma be without her infamous doll room. Walking in here, Piper looked as though she had struck gold. Funny thing is, I remember having that same sense of exhilaration myself. If you are wondering, my grandma made dolls for a living, a livelihood turned to passion. We ventured out to a local park to enjoy some sunshine. It was a short visit but we're looking forward to a little more time when we head back to Georgia.

Wagon

Wagon rides are a part of our daily routine lately. Miles loves to be outdoors and wagon rides bring him such joy. Our kids are growing and changing so vastly. Miles is crawling and sitting up confidently. He also has two cute little teeth and I think there are more in the works. Piper is doing so many things independently, including helping entertain and take care of her little brother. She got a new hairdo for the hot summer and is always talking about going to school. August cannot come soon enough! Have a sunny Memorial Day weekend!

Happy Mothers Day

Did somebody say Ham?

As you can see Piper enjoys being silly, and who can blame her? Serious is overrated. I'm sure you're wondering how all this cuteness came about. Our adopted daughter Sarah is a photography student and yes you've seen her work before. She used Piper for a previous project, but this one is my favorite. We are so grateful to have met Sarah and to continue getting to know her. She loves God fervently and it shows.

Farm Day

I heard something about a "farm day" and immediately decided we are doing that! A local cattle company that I only know about because they sell me eggs at our beloved farmers market, invited all the children out to see what it's like on a farm. We had the real experience, but I'm pretty sure Piper thinks all farms are complete with a bouncy house. We met up with some new friends who have a little girl Piper's age and two older boys. Highlight of the day: Piper stepped in fecal matter and talked about it for a good 20 minutes. "I stepped in poop and now there is poop on my shoe. My mom tried to clean up the poop with a wipe, but we have to wash them when we get home. It was cow poop and it's on my shoe..."

Miles was pooped after farm day. ( :
